Introduction and Challenge
MetBeat Weather LLP is a private climate forecasting group in Kerala that regularly forecasts weather and climate precisely. The group has been functioning for the last two years with immense popular public support. The group managed to forecast the 2018 and 2019 floods and the arrival of the monsoon in 2019 more accurately than any other weather agencies. They wanted a platform to reach out to their customers with live updates and forecasting of weather data where they tried to update live news, live satellite images, their map with weather widgets, a feedback module, categorized news, advertisement modules and subscription accounts for premium data.
Solution
We offered them both a web application and a mobile app with login features for users and a subscription option with a payment gateway. We offered the option to integrate weather API for accurate data and forecast details in the platform. It also has a map with weather updates and a filter option where users can see weather data according to their GPS location. And an advanced blog section will give users detailed weather news and videos.
How is it working
Users can come to the Play Store or search Metbeat weather on Google, where they can have a free account with limited features or subscribe to one of the plans and see premium features. We have integrated the application to present the data with open weather map API, Google Maps, satellite image API, etc. We have given an advanced blog that is integrated with instant articles on Facebook. And can get notifications if they have a mobile app, according to their geo-location.
